Fundamentals of Close Up/Macro Photography

Presented by Valerie Hoffman

Macro and Close Up Photography are one of the most exciting and creative fields of photography to focus on. The subject and creative possibilities are limitless! The option to be able to shoot inside or out, at any time of day, in any season and in almost any type or amount of light, makes this something everyone should try at least once. If you think that you need complicated, expensive gear-think again! You can get started with a very minimum investment. In this presentation,  we’ll discuss a wide variety of options for gear-from the most basic and inexpensive, to more elaborate and costly. We consider the pros and cons of using each peace of equipment, so that you can decide for yourself what will work best for you specific needs-without blowing a bunch of money on something you neither need nor understand how to use!

Beyond the gear, we discuss the most common terminology-breaking it down in a way that’s easy to understand.

From there, we will review key, fundamental techniques to make sure you have everything you need to get started right in this creative and compelling field. Program will be especially useful to the beginner and more advanced photo enthusiasts.
